Kirby Puckett meant a lot to many people, but especially to every Minnesotan. Kirby led Minnesota Twins to two World Series victories (1987 and 1991). Not only was he an outstanding player on the field, but he was always smiling. He was so full of life in everything that it spilled out onto those around him. His love for the game was as strong as the love that Minnesotans have for him. He will always be remembered as a smiling kid running with those short steps around the bases after taking a ball deep into the Metrodome. We'll miss you Kirby.
